Radisson Blu has restructured their Friday Brunch spread a bit since our last visit, and it has quite a neat disposition. As before, most of the savoury items are arranged by cuisine type – Japanese, Middle Eastern, Indian, Thai / Far Eastern, Italian, Indian – with salads and desserts arranged at two corners. They also still have their kiddie area where juniors can enjoy a special menu and have a play area too. There’s also a photo booth and balloon figures (for kids and kids at heart!). Additionally, they have added an attractive mocktail cart too. Their mocktail brunch is priced at AED 199.

As usual, the tom yum soup – courtesy of Fish Market – was excellent and the salads that I tried were refreshing. The sushi, tempura and Japanese fried rice – courtesy of Minato – were also great. However, I felt like the mains have been better on previous occasions. Particularly the saffron rice and herb rice from the Middle Eastern side. Most of the chicken and fish dishes were also a bit mediocre in comparison to their usually high standard of flavour. The lamb kebab – courtesy of Shabestan – was well seasoned and tasted really good though.
The desserts were typically delicious., and I particularly liked the chocolate fudge cake and the salted caramel cheesecake! And there was a rather teasing milk and white chocolate fountain too, of which I have attached a photo herewith.

Overall, an enjoyable experience in a casual and relaxed atmosphere – one that I would definitely like to return to (hopefully with the yummy mains on point again!).
