Cinnamon Lakeside’s high tea does not come in the form of a platter, but as a spread. The buffet is quite extensive, and given the limitless access to their rather large array of savouries and sweets, this is great value for money.

The savoury section touched on several cuisines, from Western to local, Italian to Indian, Oriental to Mediterranean. It was more or less a toned-down high tea version of their brunch spreads. And quite tasty (as expected), too. I tried to taste as many of the varieties available as possible. My favourites of the lot were probably the Mandarin crumbed chicken and the mini tortilla wraps. There were also a few innovative items that I came across such as the Chicken liver pâté éclair – which I never would have guessed was savoury if not for the label, and a few mini sandwiches that looked so pretty they could easily have been mixed up for cakes or sweets.

The sweet counter was a delight for just about anyone to see – and a definite winner among kids. The thought and care that Cinnamon Lakeside has been putting into the appearance of their buffet desserts lately has been noteworthy. The plus side is that the majority of them taste great too. Here, my favourite was the soft sponge with mousse and pear on the inside.
Sweets
As for beverages, the strawberry-guava juice was quite pleasing to start off with – an interesting combination that definitely works, and something that I don’t think I have tried before. Apart from that, iced coffee is another available option to help yourself with. Tea and coffee may be ordered, as desired.

Overall, a rather filling and satisfying high tea experience that I think every high tea enthusiast should have a shot at – you certainly won’t regret it!
